I'm too much sometimes.

my day today

was lovely. i woke up did some summer school homework (HURRAY!) then i went to art history. i didn't fall asleep once! and the teacher told some funny stories. I find him oddly attractive, he kinda looks like Doug Funnie. Then I went to the gym. I ran/walked for about 20 minutes then i went on the elliptical machine for another 35. I go to the gym for the normal reasons, I want to be healthier, get a six pack and a rockin' ass. But after 30 minutes of cardio, my mind started to wander and I realized that all of this is in vain. And we all know that vanity doesn't last forever, so hence I created a new life plan that will motivate me to be productive.

Preparation for the Apocalypse

My thoughts while on the elliptical:
  • Could I survive the apocalypse?
    • Probably not, you are a physically weak person
  • How can I better myself to make sure I'll survive?
    • Work on myself physically, mentally and emotionally.
  • Physically
    • Goal 1: Be able to do 5 pull-ups.
      • I think this is a vital skill. Being able to pull your own body weight over something, out of something or through something is critically important in a world where the infrastructure starts to crumble around you. Anything and everything might topple over and leave me trapped somewhere. You can't survive while trapped under a pile of debris. (and this is of course if I don't die instantly because of the fall. but i heard about this survival technique where you hide next to a big object, not under it, and you can survive in the small triangle that is created between the large object and the falling debris, it might work.)
    • Goal 2: Run 10 miles without stopping.
      • In the event of zombies, you need to run. You need to be able to get away as fast as possible and have the endurance to keep going. I plan on going on runs through parks and other areas, not just on the treadmill. That way I'll get practice on dodging obstacles and tuning out distractions (i.e. small children, cute dogs, mirages).
    • Goal 3: Get a really high vertical leap.
      • I'm not too sure how high I want to jump, but I'm definitely sure I should be able to jump higher. I'll talk to some basketball players and learn how to improve that.
  • Mentally
    • My mental goals are actually skills I need to acquire in order to survive armageddon.
    • Goal 1: Learn to drive stick and how to hot wire a car.
      • Ok, it's not like cars are going to disappear. And all cars aren't automatic and don't always have the keys in the ignition. This one is self explanatory. Why did I just explain this?
    • Goal 2: Learn to start a fire from scratch
      • Again, self explanatory, I'm gonna watch Man Vs. Wild.
    • Goal 3: Be able to hunt, kill and butcher something.
      • Oh yes, another one that is simple enough. Kurt can show me this one, I just need to grow the balls to do this.
OH yea!
LET THE TRANSFORMATION BEGIN!

Today I ran 2 miles without stopping, so I guess I'm on my way!
Here's a picture of little salvador in my bike basket!
